Gina Rowland-Paine
Painter
As a child Gina enjoyed many hours of watching her Grandmother, who was a self taught artist, paint beautiful landscapes and birds that she observed around her house. The vibrant colors and attention to detail when painting these images that brought her joy resonated with Gina and created the foundation for her work as an artist.
She majored in art during the first half of my college years, then transitioned to nursing where she continued her career in Critical Care Nursing for 35 yrs. After retiring in May of 2025, Gina now has more time for her first love of art.
Using mostly acrylic paints, she enjoys re-creating images that bring others joy or sparks a memory.
Gina has painted many likenesses of personal pets and places, mostly using photos provided. She tries to capture as much personality and detail as she can in each one, making a one-of-a-kind representation of someone's personal photo collection.
Aside from doing commissioned works of art, Gina also enjoys teaching a monthly basic painting class called Happy Brushes, where she provides step by step instruction while everyone recreates the same painting simultaneously.
