It all begins with an idea…

“I made a 5 foot walking staff for my old friend Joe, who has had a decade of poor health, and has become pretty unsteady on his feet. 

I used a propane torch to season the exterior, and fill each end with epoxy for strength. I also put a 1926 Buffalo nickel in the top, for decoration.  99 years old. The bamboo, from my grove, was about 20” tall to start with!”
